July 25, 2005: By the end of this summer, I will ultimately update this aging website. It will be transformed into two sections: Corporate and Enthusiast. All the tutorials, news, and non business related matters will be sectioned in the Enthusiast section. As for current web news, we are happily hosted by Site5, which has been the best host ever. We still need to purchase an Invision Board license, so the forums are down currently. I am just working on 2 client websites--everything else, including my own portfolio will have to wait. From now on, all website projects will be compatible with Mozilla, Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Opera. We are still building sites for IE6, since that is the industry standard. Have a nice summer everyone, and be sure to check back here later. I am going to write 2 new tutorials: Photoshop 101, and Website Development 2.0 when I have spare time. Email me if you have any questions, suggestions or comments. -James X. Zhang, Webmaster

March 27, 2005: WSNET is working on YourMass.org as one of its final projects before focusing on its own redesign. I will be dividing this website into two sections: Corporate, and Enthusiast. I need a schism between a tutorials site and a site that sells its services to potential clients. It just isn't professional enough. As for our forums, I will have to purchase an IBF license at around $200 (eating ramen noodles as of now) or switch to phpBB. I don't want any ads on my site, so we'll have to see about finances. An overhaul in layout and recode for all Opera/Mozilla/IE browsers is coming up. It will be a lot of work, but I am ready for it. The hosting is excellent here (30 ping), and we hope to find a home here. As for development software, we are still using Microsoft based Frontpage, however, we have upgraded to Frontpage 2003. This lowers the time for production, and lowers the cost for clients. We will never use Dreamweaver! Graphics Design is still, and always will be, Adobe Photoshop 7-8.0 CS. Thanks for visiting, and I hope I can update the rest of my portfolio. -James Zhang, Webmaster

Feburary 21, 2005: Migration has finished to our new web hosting. We now have Fantastico! Control Panels are now CP 9x. I am working on a new site caled yourmass.org for a student organization that I will head. That said, wolfyserver.net itself will be temporarily delayed in its restoration. But now we have many new tools and will begin to migrate everything to PHP. Servers are very fast now with a 30ms delay from my residence. How fast is wolfyserver.net for you? Give us a ping. And thanks for visiting! More updates to come -James Zhang, Webmaster

January 04, 2005: Wow it's been 2 years since I have updated this site. But I realize that I miss my livelihood, my portfolio, and my love for artwork. Ergo, I am going to release wolfyserver.net 2005 by mid February 2005. There has been a lot that went on these past two years, and I'll try to update my visitors on this--as well as updating tutorials, downloads, faqs, and my portfolio. We still have 15K hits a month, which is pretty good. Stay tuned and thanks for visiting! -James Zhang, Webmaster

August 25, 2003: Due to circumstances not under our control--wolfyserver.org has switched over to wolfyserver.net; it appears that cybersquatters have registered our site during ICANN's redemption grace period--and henceforth, we have to change 400 artworks and every html file around. Please visit the forums for information. - James, thatbiggbadwolfy

June 08, 2003: Server upgrades have been finished. WSORG now is able to host 400 subdomains, support over 800mbs of files, and now, we have over 16gbs of bandwidth per month. wolfyserver.org is still undergoing layout and content changes. final product to be announced later on. Current project: KpopUser. A number of affiliate sites are hosted courtesy of wolfyserver.org shared hosting. please read the disclaimer and terms of service before venturing further on. - tbbw

5.30.03: wolfyserver.org is undergoing layout and content changes. final product to be announced later on. file servers will be upgraded this month to sustain heavy bandwidth consumption. estimated usage per month is set at 7 gigabytes. new upgrade will double bandwidth to 12gb, and set file spacing at 800mbs. a number of affiliate sites are hosted courtesy of wolfyserver.org shared hosting. please read the disclaimer and terms of service before venturing further on. - tbbw

3.10.03: I am back from not doing anything! All my effort was devoted to finishing www.blsasia.org -- which is still not finished. I'm guessing I've already spent 110+ hours on it. Still there are problems to correct and things to add. That means, wolfyserver.org, KPOPUSER, Seevak, CTY, and other pages were neglected. I dropped out of Seevak because I couldn't possibly make that website with this kind of a schedule. That means I will start this year's competition, for next year. This gives me exactly twelve months to make the best damn site ever to win $3,000. My xanga has been updated (Gasp.) though PayPal is so utterly gay, that I can't upgrade to premium even with legit money .. Wolfyserver.org right now is just holding all my little sites together. It will eventually get all the downloads up and thousands of visitors. I'll have to upgrade 2 more times to accommodate all the new visitors then. See you tomorrow, James.

2.21.03: I think I'm going deaf? All that electronica and loudness ... yeah I think either I need to get new, louder speakers and have my friends talking louder, or do something about my hearing problem. In other news, vacation is almost over. Hung out yesterday, nothing new, pretty much, yeah ... The wolfyserver.org search engine is 20% complete: there's some erroneous code perhaps. My vision is getting kind of blurry too. Must be all those drinks, heh. Yeah, I should stop writing in the news section early in the morning. Way too early. At least I can play UT2k3 perfectly without waking up. In any case, finishing up wolfyserver.org for my online portfolio on hotjobs.com - Cause I need money, lots of money. More money! - James

2.18.03: Seems that I'm snowed in .. without Internet access! *gasp* Wow, this sucks. Snow sucks when it's freezing and dangerous. Let's see, well I finished the Quotes Revival page! That took two hours as I recall. Really great stuff! I'm pretty much focusing on wolfyserver.org right now, and disregarding my other projects. And another note: This news section will really be just for site news. The articles section has my personal ranting; however this is mostly due to my new xanga. Yeah, I have a xanga, I don't put much on it, but I get so many eprops! Wow, all those sweet girls checking out my xanga. *faints* Notice the new frontpage? The layout will keep changing until it looks absolutely perfect. Ciao, and drink soup! - James, Webmaster

2.14.03: Happy Valentine's day! Wow, I've neglected wolfyserver.org so much! Apart from ASIA, Seevak, and my new xanga (oh my!), I've been preoccupied and never bothered to finish the new layout! Forums are going great, I'd like more members. It's time for February vacation, which means I will spend my week off studying, working on websites, and catching up on reading. Oh and the occasional visit outside! Alas! I feel so great today! No way better to end the day on a long cool walk outside, filled with love! <3

1.27.03: Hmms, very vague weekend here; I can't recall what I did. Well, new phone, have to get a new cover for it. Let's see, haven't updated any ASIA stuff- wolfyserver.org is not ready for its grand opening yet. What I did do is make an article section since in the news section, there are so many ideas and summaries bunched up in there, not to mention the number of words. The articles will make things easier. Now to think of it, I still need to make a new "article" button for the navigational menu. And I it's 12:45 a.m. and I didn't start any homework... *sigh, double sigh and a groan, - James *2:03 a.m. - I shouldn't have had that corned beef... ugh, just a few spoonfuls and I feel like sp00nfuls of weirdness... ah, and balancing that with orange juice.. not good! Wow, I really had a hankering for SPAM or some sort even with all this other food .. btw accolades means awards or mad reviews. (Just browsing liquisoft.com) Oh yeah and I swear I have metal shards in my mouth ... damn Brazilian corned beef!

1.23.03: I might have to rush the ASIA site since Longjie and Andrei want it presented in a convention. This is not the best date since there are 4 pending articles and no pictures at the moment. I will persuade judges to view the Sushi-Rama Three and August Moon article since they are the best done ones- in writing and layout. Nonetheless, there could be more done to August Moon to provide a more flowing layout, not box restricted. The Splash page to the ASIA site has been created. The Terms of Service to ASIA and wolfyserver.org have been updated as well. Things are really going to be busy. Kpop User is suspended indefinitely; the same goes for all other sites. |uFn| has been redirected to www.wolfyserver.org/ufn/main.htm - Please update your bookmarks. All comments go to the forums. I will activate my spam filters and reporting system for my email account hereon. This is because there are some fuckers who constantly spam my email account. *3:56AM Amendment: Ok, I've fixed all the urls, made sure all links were working and put notices for pages that were in progress. I changed the |uFn| URL in 13 pages (Jake...) and I've added no select text script and a colourful scroll bar on the main page. I think I need my two hours of sleep now, so ciao. -James

1.21.03: Finished the projects section so everyone can see what I'm working on. I am still porting back the wolfyserver.org classic files into the sleek 2k3 layout. The last couple of things to be finished in the menu are the tutorials section, the downloads section (a lot of work there) and the contact information. Not only that, after the menu is finished, the complete list includes: emu & roms, guestbook, search page, chat page, the links section, collective and classical quotes, the reminisce feature, affiliations, artwork section, webmaster & staff, and the restricted access. Then, I will have to proof all the pages and make sure all the links work and everything is updated. After ws2k3 housekeeping is finished, the BLS ASIA page really needs to be finished. A new layout is planned for that; I'm still experimenting. Kpop User is right after that. The layout looks cluttered so I will read up on some Photoshop tutorials to make it look better. The forums aren't going so well; I don't have time to check up on them anyways. Stay tuned, everything takes time right?

1.14.03: Ok, I am so busy these days that I have to savor my two hours of sleep each day. My past times are homework, Photoshop and these websites. I leave school around 4-6, depending on how much stuff I need to download. My classes are really tiring for some reason, and I'm running out of money! So I hope I can finish at least 3 out of the 4 websites I need to do by the end of this month or February. That way I can post my curriculum vitae on hotjobs.com and finally earn some money. Hmm, I just skipped a bunch of meals so I'm kind of hungry at 4:09 A.M. Well anyways, hope you enjoy the new KpopUser layout and be sure to sneak a peak at Dan and Jake's CS site: uFn. That's it for today .. I need to do some laundry! Oh yeah, I'm just jotting this down to remind myself ... still need to work on the PHP code for the polls, guestbook, tagboard and current users online. Tell Justin to do it for me or something.

1.13.03: News update for early today: The ASIA site is delayed indefinitely; I find it more worthwhile to expand the wolfyserver.org layout and KpopUser. An interview is scheduled for KpopUser- my friend Andrew has recently been in Korea and toured some TV station. In any case, he has pictures and words to say about the gasoos there. The forums are really slow but no matter, once the Kpop User page is finished, bound to get thousands of members (we have 119 now). Time is running out for the ASIA page, yes I know. But the Seevak obligation is creeping closer and closer. My group could very easily win the $3,000 USD prize. As for UFN, I am only linking it. Who knows how crappy Jake's counter-strike site is ... the only good thing about it is that hilarious flash intro movie. Let's see, I apologize for my leave. It's been almost three months of not touching the site at all. That will all change! Statistics show that this wolfyserver.org project has had over 77,000 visitors! A good number that'll definitely increase over the next few months. Photoshop ... I love it! And that's it for today. Things I need to do: start my homework (due in 6 hours), study for my math test, and later today: download thousands of kpop pictures for the site, get album listings, get some stock art, download some new scripts from dynamic drive and finish the ASIA site! The committee is going to kill me if I don't get it by Tuesday, 2:15!!! Aiya, this news section isn't that formal is it? Well it never was, so haha! - All my best, James.

1.01.03: Welcome to wolfyserver.org's new layout for 2003. This section is currently under construction and may not be ready for a while. We recommend taking part in our forums and discussion while repairs and renewals are underway. If you would like to access older wolfyserver sites and layouts: Please go to www.wolfyserver.org/index2.html - Also, take a look at other projects being produced by wolfyserver, such as BLS ASIA. The URL is www.wolfyserver.org/blsasia - Furthermore, don't hesitate to contact the webmaster or ask questions in the forms. A polished and elongated FAQs section is being revised at this moment. Expected features for the new site are the usual, with the addition of a Korean pop music section and a Japanese pop music section. No files will be hosted on wolfyserver.org except html related ones. Our satellite servers will provide direct links to hpvca files and multimedia. Happy holidays, happy new year; stay with wolfyserver and see what we have in store for you. - James, thatbiggbadwolfy - webmaster

10.28.02: Site is undergoing 2k3 construction. Expect a new layout sometime soon. Please visit the other sites made by wolfyserver.org at the FrontPage. And if you can, donate some money for our file server. - James

10.16.02: Hmm fingernails too long... looks kind of a like a girl's. Well, I'm feeling better now. I had this cold and stayed home. This week I've been working hours on end on that BLS ASIA site. It's not as easy as it looks! I'll be in the forums if you need to contact me. Pasts Saturday- so, busy busy. Again, sorry about neglecting wolfyserver! I need to design a new layout and have Justin, after 3 months, to do my tagboard. Ah hell with it, I'll do it myself, just like the forums. So cold here in Massachusetts! - James

10.11.02- wolfyserver is under construction and a new layout is upcoming. please stay tuned. the forums are still very active and I am currently working on the BLS Asia site. - James

10.04.02- Almost killed myself drinking Sprite today- or was it just because my whole body ached? In any case it felt like a potassium injection which I think wouldn't be so great. You know when you chug soda down but breathe before drinking? Ah, feels like your heart's going to burst. Yes, I know I promised I'd stop drinking soda some weeks before; however, I drank all the orange juice and apple juice in the house and, there were some nine bottles of soda just lying there. I don't know, but I'm really thirsty these days! So about the news section. I'm taking Andrew's advice into actually making the "news and views" (more appropriately "news & thoughts") into a blog. Yes, a blog- that way more people would read it. Not to say people don't read it now- stats show 72% of dynamic hits go straight to the news section. As always, the reason why visitors read my news is that it is simply damn interesting. I've got the content and occasionally the style when I feel like writing well. Now the word like is used too much today and so is but. But I'm really tired and my arms hurt from taekwondo. Plus, I've (using too much of I here too) got this mega-super-blah (just woke up at 11p.m.) of an U.S. History AP exam tomorrow. And today it came to me that a lot of people in my school cheat! It's not barely the counterstrikes but as someone told me (I forgot his name- well all for the better since teachers now read wolfyserver, hah) for essay exams, what most people do is write the essay beforehand on the exact paper the teacher uses (no margin, medium-lined, smaller than usual 8.5*11) and as he so meticulously showed me- swap the blank with the finished with very much innocent gestures. For example, dropping your pen first, then the already written essay paper, and subsequently, switch the two while retaining a sitting position. A juxtaposition presented was the other way: placing the blank essay over the finished one. Or, simply- keep the essay under your shirt. Now, devious and cunning as these ideas are, I have morals you see (wink, wink). Seriously, I can't though since I sit fairly near the teacher and unlike the drunkard British- there's no doubt we'll have SS presence. That made no sense at all, I was emphatically contrasting vigilance and apathy. Anyways, why do I have lint on my shirt right now? Arg, moments ago- I had been mentally writing my news section in the shower and now, I forgot all the relevant points. Guess I'll have to improvise. As for my dietary habits, I'm eating better now. Beforehand I skipped meals on part of me sleeping instead or didn't feel like eating. Now with taekwodo starting up again, I feel rather tired and so nutrition is needed in my case. You know what's a great feeling? Having clam chowder or hot food and going to sleep. So cozy and nostalgic! I'd like to think of myself as a sexy bear who needs food for hibernation. On a side note, somehow microwave dinners are healthier than home prepared dishes in my house. By the way, I'm not that vain. Girls think that since I pay more attention to hair among other things. Actually, today my hair was looking pretty neat...! Oh yes, I now remember what I was going to narrate. My dreams! Hah, every news section should have a dream snippet place. That way, you'd get to know me, wolfy, and sleepy James. All three personas in one! In point of fact right now, I don't feel like doing that now. So here's the mission statement for my club that you can read, which I wanted to post in former news snippets. I'll be staying up all night now, bai!

*Actually I do have more to say. Swatting this mosquito right now is pissing me off, and it's time for things that piss me off right now. [edited out] ... Grr, stupid bureaucracy and egos. We'd be better off with anarchy and car bombs. Well, since I promised Mr. Ramos (our school's IT guy) I'd keep wolfyserver safe, heh, there'll be none of that. Now to think of it, it's not a big deal since I can change the text and graphics under thirty minutes to any site I want. Perhaps the BLS Asia section will be turned into the website art & design official page. Or, any subset of wolfyserver.org2k3 - Basically that's the only thing pissing me off at the moment. Oh, wait- no, no, no. There's also this girl with glasses who said wolfyserver has not impressive. Clearly, her legs will be broken in the near future. That's definitely it for now, I'll keep my shrewdness till tomorrow. Read the following if you're not half asleep as I am: (total word count for news section: 34,580)

Website Art and Design: Mission Statement

Dear Headmaster Kelly,

Last year, students of Boston Latin had the opportunity to take part in an innovative club named Computer Website Design. The idea and its ambition were commendable- yielding well over forty members; however, as a member, I had noticed much misbehavior noncompliance among the club. School computers were used for anything but website design: Certain individuals had been downloading files, playing online games, and were downright rowdy. Not surprisingly, Computer Website Design disbanded and omitted its existence for my sophomore year. As the President this year, I hope to prove that our club, with a different name and entirely different connotation, deserves a permanent position in the Boston Latin High School.

The profession of a webmaster is as valid and affluent compared to any other. The school shares my belief by the induction of Webmaster 101. The online community is an ever-growing hub for commerce and free-flowing ideas. It is as physical and bodily as the servers, which power and link the Internet, and the jobs of people affiliated with the acronym WWW. A double-edged sword would best describe web-design: Anyone can make a page and post it online, though few are ever exposed to the masses because of technical difficulties and hardships. These difficulties make or break the webmaster. In actuality, "webmaster" is a term given only in seniority and pre-eminence. Web-designer is more computer correct. Most classes and entrepreneurs focus more on making a page- the easy part- than website management. It is not exactly a problem; schools across the nation and a significant part of users online follow this method. But to become successful and a benefactor to our inter-national, inter-networked community, learners of the trade must recognize the responsibilities of a true webmaster and be prepared to fulfill the demands of the job, the demands of the people, and their own aspirations as well.

Instruction: We have an unorthodox way of teaching: Website Art & Design will bypass the usual monotonous tags and code. The present day online community does not distinguish websites coded by hand or with a graphical user interfaced editor. GUI editors such as Microsoft FrontpageXP and Macromedia DreamweaverMX drastically reduce the amount of grunt-work and leave room for creativity, art and content. Such software are 80% more efficient than notepad, a simple text input console made by Microsoft in 1981. Basic code and structure will be taught for understanding purposes. In the event that members request additional lessons, I have written a comprehensive tutorial for HTML. We will be primarily concerned with content and visual aesthetics. This club has particular emphasis on original CG (Computer-Generated) artwork. Adobe Photoshop 7 will be taught and used extensively. Techniques such as image slicing and the use of image maps will seamlessly blend navigational links with a site's layout. The included Image Ready 7 allows a simple, convenient way of designing banners for website promotion and advertising. A review of colour theory provides members' sites with an eye-pleasing panache. Photo-manipulation will be taught and presented using layers and stock photos. The integration of multimedia is key; subsequently, club members will benefit from an introductory Macromedia Flash 6 course. Music and sound is picked up quite easily, although they are not practical in real world matters. Members will have their sites online from the first day- instead of being stored in a local folder. Through interaction, our members will be one-step closer to success. Forums, tag-boards, and guest-books allow users to communicate with one another. In addition to the former being taught, a BLS Website Art & Design forum is already finished and functioning. Members will expect moderate writing in this class. All of our members' websites will serve a definite purpose- whether personal, financial, educational, et cetera.

Benefits: Ambition, Acclaim, and Acclamation Prospective students in Website Art & Design will have all the skills and savoir-faire for entry positions in e-commerce companies. By the end of the year, remaining students will have picked up a professional and artistic style for website development and design. Due to an accelerated pace and the exclusion of repetitive code lessons, members will have a head start above similar school web-design classes. This course will shed light on administration abilities, problem solving, cooperation, ingenuity and vision. A webmaster is Picasso and Churchill at the same time; and, it would be of a mendacious nature not to say that everyone will benefit. Graduates may choose, with your permission, to oversee Boston Latin's own website, the layout of the Argo, or any situation requiring well-motivated and skilled individuals.

Expectancies: An enthusiastic persona, attentive individuals, no tomfoolery or disturbances, and utmost respect for instructors and peers. Members will be expected to consort with and help each other. Club meetings will be part lectures with moderate hands-on applications. Majority of work to be home-based. Failure to attend at least 60% of meetings will result in expulsion from Website Art & Design. Date of meetings will be on Monday- one hour after school- or to be announced under unforeseen circumstances.

Texts: No books necessary. Taught all from experience and self-written HTML tutorials. A plethora of outside resources will be provided.

Server and Web Space: 50MBS accounts banner-less hosting with ASP support provided at no charge by 7host.com, 20MBS accounts from Liquid2k.com, and select space will be given by myself on my website wolfyserver.org: PHP4, CGI/PERL, and MySQL Support. (Uncapped download and upload speeds.)

Costs: Free, everything will be covered by Club Committee. Server space will not require school resources.

Thank you for your time in reading the Website Art & Design Club's Mission Statement. We hope to hear from you and your administration shortly.

Sincerely,

The Website Art & Design Committee

10.02.02- I went back to taekwondo today- just didn't have the time or feel like it for the last two weeks. After school, I ate a microwave Swanson fried chicken meal. How's the for detail? Now the exciting thing is about the site. True, visitors are dwindling at an exponential rate, everything is unfinished and my staff is as lazy as ever... but I finished my beta layout for the BLS A.S.I.A. website! Yay! I think it's pretty good. Blends Asian style with 2k3 website design. Ok not really, but it still looks good. Took me around four hours total to get everything the way I wanted. Still, I have to do the guestbooks and forums for that as well- arg, need to transfer all that? In any case, I guess I'll use my own money to buy the domain blsasia.org or maybe something like blscommunity.com- and combine the whole school? My French teacher Ms. Valentin wants something like that, where kids can view resources or communicate online. I'm helping her with computers and web-design currently. And I corrected email passwords fyi. -James

10.01.02- I've been reading up on Photoshop tutorials, from Adobe. Yes, after 2 years of playing around without reading a thing, I've decided to learn the basics all over again. Right now, the extract option in Photoshop 7 is my favorite feature that I have yet to use! Anyways, wolfyserver is so far so good. Forums are kind of busy- not really. Guestbook remains unfinished, so is the tagboard. And I still have to put some scripts and art into the forums. Oh and CH Mod those things, hah. I made a few corrections (the Celsius thing in Edify Maybe- whew...) to the site and started working on the Boston Latin A.S.I.A. site, which I am webmaster of right now. That stands for Asian Students In Action. Only thing I've done for them before is write the August Moon Narration, eat their sushi, and that's about it. My club is going great- officers are flowing in. I need party people though! By the way, the meeting is next Monday! October something. Hmm, that's about it. - James

9.30.02- Ack, sorry I haven't been with wolfyserver for a while. Too busy with school and other matters. Looks like my Website Art & Design club was a success: we attracted 65 members at the fair. Hah, I think most of them came to see my Alienware rig though. So many "ooo" and "ahhhs" when they pushed the tray button! Well there was also excess club music and free candy and soda coming from my booth. Took around five minutes for the crowd to finish? Oh yeah we also had computer DDR for the Asian community- I got 176 combo in Midnite Blaze! Hmm, what else- oh yeah I'm disappointed by the statistics here: only 60 visitors a day now? Hmm, looks like those files really need to get back up there. I wonder if filefound ever found out that I had no files here... This weekend, I spent around 8 hours doing paper work for my club. Two hours for a mission statement to present to the headmaster, 3 hours of entering the signups of 65 people into computer, and three hours of writing little news notices for everybody: first printing, cutting into three parts, writing by hand, labeling with number, and categorizing by homeroom for distribution in six hours... And I already have half my lesson plan for next Monday written down and ready to go! Oh yeah and now I'm the webmaster of BLS A.S.I.A.'s website- I hope to make it more interactive and fun. The previous webmaster's work is at www.blsasia.cjb.net, I'll register the blsasia.org with my own money seeing how my school blew millions of dollars by buying useless $7,000 SONY projectors for every room. And now we can't afford toner cartridges. Dr. Mendez: "I mean, shit, it's still the beginning of the year!" Hmm, now about my partner Pei- he's making my life real hard with this trouble he's brought wolfyserver in. Nothing big, just really annoying. But I guess he's allright if he's willing to work in the club. Wein will be a secretary of some sort despite Pei's protests. Hey, if he's willing to work- promotion guaranteed. That is, the exact opposite of Leon's situation though: He wants to become treasurer, not do anything, and have this on his college application. Hmm, there's a lot to do now in Junior year. I still have to finish up my Prelude in Sonnet, a revision of a sonnet for someone's birthday, and write more narrations. But those things have nothing to do with school. Arg! So stressed out these days I guess. By the way, the quotes section has been updated. Andre was laughing his ass off reading them. Well, visit the forums often! I'm almost done with the PHP guestbook, Justin is probably working on the tagboard...probably. And I need an icon for my Admin position in the boards! Well I'm off to start my homework early Monday morning at 12:42 AM.

9.23.02- The forums are finally finished after many delays and inconveniences. Please visit them very often! Justin is making the PHP tagboard at the moment. It'll look exactly like the one on the right. There's no need for a poll code since the guestbook does that as well. I'll make a wolfyserver skin for it soon. We need to change the graphics and the colours on that thing. So I'm pretty happy! As for files, we'll talk about that later. Right now, I'll be making new graphics for our guestbook. And I'll fix any problems. Club night at my school is on Thursday, and I'm bringing the Alienware for a grand presentation. Enjoy!

9.20.02- After finishing my first revision of "The Prelude Essay" I was very tired and thus started dancing for no reason. (I was trying to think of my other tasks.) Hah, my winamp has gone through 124 songs already. Well there's around 3 more hours until day break and school. School- fun and not fun at the same time. I'll be looking forward to my AP Composition class but wouldn't mind missing my Latin test. Oh yes, getting a PCMCIA PCI card adapter for my Alienware. On top of that- a 3com 56k cellular modem on Ebay. This lets me go online no matter where since I have unlimited nights & weekends, nationwide. I'll just use it for AIM and occasional uploading of files. There's a new scroller thing on the frontpage. Might be useful- but just as cool right now. The forums will be our monolith. I expect thousands sharing cracks, keygens, and warez files there. We will have plenty of moderators to assist with questions and troubleshooting. I'm striving for the largest avatar collection ever! Hmm, oh yes- our bandwidth is so far so good. 1034/3000mbs at the moment, with the month being almost over. If necessary, we will upgrade to the 300mbs plan (only 76mb used so far) with around 6gbs bandwidth. Any more, then we will be accepting donations for dedicated server hosting. (insert smile here)

9.18.02- Good progress so far: every section is undergoing a minor update. Our communications project will be finished this week. Justin will start the tag-board with my layout. I am in charge of the InvisionBoard (chosen over Ikonboard & UBB) forum as well as the PHP guestbook and user statistics script- all provided by Smartisoft.com - As for layout, nothing new really. When all the jobs are finished, I will personally restore all the files in our downloads section. Dan and Jake, my two magi, will oversee the files section for updates and corrections. When the forums are finished, please visit them! This will be a paramount accomplishment since we will once again have a community of sharing and flaming. The chat java applet and server will additionally.

9.16.02- Somehow today seemed different. I had my usual three hours of sleep- the reason behind my contemporary complexion- and grunted my hellos at school. Amazingly, I received only one death message on my cell phone. And a lot of things started to make sense all of a sudden. I hope it's not macabre to mention my newfound inspiration? For the last few days, I'd run dry of ideas and pilots for my writing. As you may have noticed, the aforementioned Day in the Life was mediocre and needlessly dull. Even my piece on friendship appeared dry. Today was perhaps the point when I figured what I wanted in life. And love, I guess, would have to wait another day. I was so close; I thought I nearly had her there. I wanted to wake up from this dream- and indeed I was awoken- moreover startled, by a phone call from this girl around nine. Sardonic was the mood six hours before morning. The tympanic membrane in my ear burst as her tone deaf yelps penetrated through my auditory canal. I was willingly cold perchance. My thought bubble, in effect, burst and the world got dumber... just another day.

9.14.02- A Day in the Life of James 10:19p.m. My manner of thinking- how the thoughts come to me- is a cell phone overflowing with AIM messages; I can't answer along with the rate they're coming in- I eventually do, but miss out on the best parts. There's no sound way to start this Day in the Life since so much is going on. My "news and views" are strewn all over the place. I guess one way is to get the housework out: the restricted access section is not closing; in actuality, I've only started. A place to get everything out in words means much to me. And I hope you visitors will respect such privacy since articles are gradually unlocked. The next pieces planned are: "Three Year Friends," "My Thoughts on Friendship," "Life Goes On," "Personal Thoughts on Paper," and "CTY Narration 50 Pages." Of course sections such as the friendship and cty paper will be released on the public site. Now about my day- I'll have explications of these hours while leaving out the unmentionables in this news section. The way I see it, I'm telling more than I show. In any matter, it's "still interesting" as my visitors comment. The best way for people to learn about my person and this life is to notice everything that happens. And I will do just that:

24 Hours 2a.m.-2a.m. (12th-13th): Doubtless everyone has experienced the episode when it's 2a.m. and you still didn't do your homework or study. And you say to yourself: Okay, I just need a little nap- 30 minutes. You then surprise yourself at 5:30 still in bed and decide to cut loses for an extra minute. Yeah, well that's what happened to me- except that I didn't start studying or doing my homework until 7:20 A.M. Plus, I had four tests in a row. This was a Friday (for my exclusively doped visitors who have trouble with dates). My brisk through the Longwood Medical Area shortcut was hampered by my fickle vest; my back hurt with forty pounds of textbooks on my shoulder bag. Yes, this was like any other day. My teachers and visitors have told me how of a wiz I am with details- so I won't disappoint. My cell phone read 7:15 as I trudged near the oldest school in the nation. Overhead, Yao got out of his Dad's Camry and we started towards the main entrance. Neither of us bothered to talk- it was too early in the morning. My books were plopped onto the table- spilling its contents: Pre-calculus, my three main homework folders (one with hush-hush wolfyserver.org printouts), the Bedford Reader, a multi-purpose notebook and so on. One of the things my Crafting the Essay teacher did was pull items out of her three purses (it took twenty minutes), and left us to use our conjecturing skills with the aim of seeing what kind of a person she was. Around the semi-circle, everyone seemed to be studying for Frontera's test or rushing last night's homework- copying I mean. I grunted hello to the people sitting near me in homeroom. AP English was first- an easy and fun class for me, but no chance of doing homework or studying. Maybe the topics were too engrossing or that I didn't want to offend my wonderful teacher Ms. Shevlin. (Who also know about my website.) I hope she doesn't read my news section since I neglected to finish the previous two journal entries (of which I will do this weekend). Well lots of people didn't do them- and I already read the narrative a long time ago. (James Thurber - University Days) I could easily pretend to read my journal entry. Ah but I feel so bad since AP Composition is my favorite class! That one hour provided a small window of studying for the consecutive Math, French, and Latin tests. History AP was the buffer I needed to memorize all the memory-trodden summation formulas. And from browsing through my French printouts- I thought I could get away with it. Of course, I did- more or less. My eyes were constantly shifting from Mrs. Kirkpatrick to my French notes, so innocently placed just behind my AP notebook. No doubt I made extra effort to make eye-contact with my fast-talking teacher. Somehow she hasn't called on me once during the whole two weeks of school. After the charade, my Math test awaited. I did above average without studying, but I forgot to solve the first problem- the easiest one too! Too stressed out I guess. My French test was a disaster since I couldn't hear the tape recorder clearly, and somehow in number one there were eight boxes but only seven people talking. Both my math and Latin tests required the exercising of counter-strikes, a term I use loosely among colleagues. Don't worry, I'm not going to do it all the time! I don't know if it's a cliché or not to say that lunch is my favorite subject at Boston Latin. I rarely have time to enjoy it since I treat my afternoon breaks as study halls. My seating is another matter. As I've told Xuan, the clique groups haven't formed yet and thus my seating arrangement hasn't been established. To be honest, I'm tired of sitting at the Asian table like last year. Like I really want to know what new cell phone you got or which girl has an ugly nose- or how you describe people who buy from Armani Exchange. During the course of the year- I sit interchangeably around the cafeteria. One day- Guaillos, other day hwaquais, and the next- people. Ah, just kidding- didn't mean to call them that. Most of the time I sit near the windows with Vinous, Anthony, Sean, Neal, and the rest. It doesn't pain me to be criticized for my associations. Leon says the only reason I'm not really in with the Azn crowd is because of my association with the white ghosts and the homeslices. But who cares really? I sit wherever it's comfortable or enjoyable to sit. And often times, my current table fits just fine. There's much shouting, ridicule, pondering, insulting, and discussing there. Oftentimes, hearing what my peers say or say wrong makes my day. Derek tells he hangs around with Drug-dealers at Brookline High because they have the best stories to tell. Indeed, we each have our tastes and individuality. I don't know about Leon- maybe he'll never change. Some of the stuff I want to tell you guys (cause you know you love to hear it) I really can't. For example, about certain people. In any matter- things picked up after school. As usual, I come into our school's expensive library to abuse the computers and their T1 connection. Come what may, the tech guy employed at BLS still doesn't know what I'm doing and thinks I'm like the model student. Can I get a scoff here? I'm uploading 400mbs of wolfyserver illegal content, chatting on AIM, on IRC, and downloading entire BoA albums under his nose. He doesn't check my IE history like everyone else- cause every time he does- it's a clean slate! Hah, good old neglected Netscape history. Well, works for me! Ah and I have to tell Muching I changed my password so it won't work for her. (She lost hers, and I thought I'd lend a hand. Actually it's not that hard to steal a couple of passwords for future use...) So I got the new 9.12.02 ATI Catalyst drivers and caught up with people online. Wiggins hangs around me to enrich his HTML studies and Andrew "leeches" off me as they say- it's just an innocent following of me around. Pei wanted me to hang with him around the school even though there weren't many people left at 3:45. But in the lobby were Vinous, Anthony, Jeffrey, and others who've come back from soccer. And so I borrowed the ball and got a mini volleyball game playing. After "wussing" out the ball too much, I tracked home. Also, Anthony gave me a coupon for 50 cents off a Pepsi Blue which gives me a reason to try one. That reminds me: the three good deeds I've performed that day (I try for at least three) were: Lending my cell phone to this lady, teaching Wiggins what the F11 key does in Internet Explorer (hah, try it if you aren't aware), and the last one was the most interesting. Now it might seem that I like this girl, but I'll tell you and all my friends who're reading this: it's not her- but other girls. As the bell rang on AP Composition, I really wanted to rush to my next class for a pithy study- and as I wiggled past Maria and Maria in my row- I noticed Muching who was much like myself in a rush. I'm very observant, and I noticed her butterfly hairclip in her Bedford Reader dropped to the floor. I gave her person around five seconds so that she may notice its absence. Thus, while she was turned around fumbling in her book bag, I walked in front of her and placed the hairclip on her book- walking out quickly for my next class. So either she noticed me picking up the clip or she got the shit scared out of her when the silver object appeared out of nowhere. Just the little things you know, that make my day interesting? Now that I've proved myself to be a master of interest- time for the real purpose of my entry. But as of now, there is no purpose- no purpose that I will be willing to explain at this moment. So that sums up this Day in the Life of James - nothing really happened today.

Current Songs: DJ Tïesto: In My Memory, Mind Circus: Way Out West, BoA: Valenti (ENG), NIN Closer.

9.12.02- I'm back again with new updates to quotes archive, layout, and edify maybe. Starting this week, the long-awaited file restoration will begin as well upload our software archive to satellite servers. Forums, guestbook, and tag-board remain undone. The restricted access section is wrapping up and coming to a close. All sections will be released upon further notice. As for me; even though I'm not getting much sleep- I'm enjoying my Junior year and my classes thus far. I regret not being able to make a tribute for the incidents of 9-11- would have made a flag banner or something. Well we all have our different ways of dealing with September 11th, as do I. I've heard much discussion about overdoing and capitalizing on the tragedy. I believe the networks did a fabulous job in their programs- there were no commercials except for 9.11 related ones. Even at that, they were only 1 minute long. I guess there's no right way to say it. But if you had lost a relative or a close friend that day, would you want them to be remembered? Well, that's that- I just wanted to say something about yesterday. As for now, time to study. Talk to everyone later. IM me on my cell phone if you're bored.

9.11.02- A day of remembrance and reflection. One year anniversary of the unspeakable tragedy afflicted to the thousands in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Pennsylvania. Life goes on...

9.08.02- School is going great! I already told you how I love my classes- English AP Composition in particular. All we do is write what we think! Latin III is very interesting with Dr. Carroll teaching. French was pretty much a study since poor Ms. Valentin had laryngitis. All my other classes are excellent too! I'm currently studying for my Pasts in October. So building vocabulary as I speak. Volleyball tryouts are in March so nothing to worry about. Hmm, I was about to write something a propos to how good people are at listening. Better yet, listening to me about keeping messages in one IM while messaging me. (This was before I got unlimited text/AIM/email/mobile-mobile message receiving.) But I think the best way, and most succinct way- to sum things up is to lists some quotes:

AIM Mobile: thatbiggbadwolfy signed on. There are no buddies online.
WoRKaPHoBiC mE: imma waste ur money
WoRKaPHoBiC mE: sup
WoRKaPHoBiC mE: hey

See? Even Leon knows how much AIM costs- he keeps his message to the point:

d3mig0dd: sup, i cu got the mobile aim, well can do much 2day so c u 2morow @ school.

Okay it is rather funny how Yao single handedly cost me $1 when I went on AIM for 23 seconds. If I didn't have unlimited recipient messages right now- I'd tell everyone to try to keep their thoughts and greetings to one IM. But who cares now! Unlimited, hah. So keep on spamming people! Oh I'm going crazy... -James

9.04.02- A Day in the Life of James Intergalactic by Beatie Boys was playing in the background. I looked down at my U.S. History AP book and on page four was "Planetary Perspectives." (The song goes: Intergalactic, planetary, planetary, intergalactic.) Maybe it's a sign! It's 10:44p.m. right now, and I'm debating whether or not to spend another five thousand words narrating my first day of school? Yeah, I know I missed American Idol purposely to do my English homework. The assignment was to write a timeline about your past writing experiences. Of course, I went overboard and wrote two pages- but it's writing- the thing I love to do! Plus, how can you keep sixteen years to a page? Here it is:

James Zhang                                                                                                        September 4, 2002
AP Composition

Writing Timeline

1st Grade, Sharp School: I got jealous after this kid knew how to define and spell automobile. I thought I was the only one who knew!

2nd Grade, some other school in New Jersey: The teacher required us to write a journal entry. I didn't finish, and the other kids went outside for recess. I decided to finish my long piece. Writing wasn't that bad.

4th grade: My English teacher was very demanding. Our class had to do around 60 grammar problems a day. My hands hurt after writing fast; my script became rough shorthand. My handwriting has since recovered into the new style: bubbly text and adult script. I even remembered the syntax to this day.

7th Grade English: We'd recently moved to Boston. The school wasn't awfully great. My English teacher seemed like she didn't belong there somehow. I forgot my teacher's name, but she was one of my favorites, one who actually tried to educate and help her students with English. Because I joined the class near the middle of the year, I had to take make-ups of all the tests and quizzes they've had so far- plus read all the books. That was very surprising since no other teacher has ever made me do that (I move quite often.) I enjoyed the class very much and wrote my first persuasive essay. It was for a contest to win Patriot tickets. The topic was how parents were like coaches. I didn't win, and I didn't care for football anyway.

8th Grade 2000-Present Day: I stopped writing essays by hand. It was just too tiring, and my hand wasn't as quick as my mind. I type 120 words per minute and write maybe 30 WPM. I also stopped writing second drafts. I correct and edit as I type on my computer. The thesaurus in Microsoft Word XP is a nifty feature. Thus, I write great essays, save my strength, and brush up on my vocabulary on this machine. (For second drafts collected by the teacher, I just dumb up my final and make purposeful errors.)

8th Grade Edith Backer School, May 2000: I wrote a rather humorous piece for the speech contest on having hamsters as pets to the amusement of my teacher and peers. This gave me the go-ahead to practice with comedy. I tend to use a little absurdity occasionally in my writing.

January 2000: I had to take the SATs in 8th grade for the Center for Talented Youth camp qualification- possibly the worst three hours of my life. When I got my scores back, I had come to a sudden realization that I was pretty good in English and didn't have to focus on the stereotypical math part. English is my favorite subject. I got double 620s.

Johns Hopkins CTY Camp Session 2 July 2000: I knew I had chosen (or my Dad had chosen) the wrong course for me when math classes were seven hours a day and quite mind-numbing. Of course, I had fun, though I knew I wanted to take Crafting the Essay in the later years since my friends actually had fun in that class- not to mention being treated to movies, field trips, and much goofing around. That course would allow me to experience the social aspect of camp more.

2001-Early 2002: This was the time where my writing first entered the online, website scene. It's been three years and 300,000 visitors so far. I didn't write commentaries, reviews, or prose. Instead, I was quite good at writing computer hacking tutorials and the like. Thus, I became a teacher to people of all ages who wished to wreck havoc among friends or corporations. They are "helpful tutorials for any occasion or provocation" and only used within the limits of the law, of course. I also wrote a professional legal disclaimer so the FBI wouldn't shut my site down for the 25th time.

June 18th 2002, Revision eight of my poem "Prelude towards my Affection." I started writing the then 18-line poem on a piece of pink scrap paper while sitting next to a girl I liked. It was for her. It is still talked about among class II- online and in real life- and is admired yet poked fun of because of the whole James-Girl situation. I haven't showed it to her; however, after many requests, I gathered the courage to read it in front of my class, Ms. Spencer, and Ms. Vanaskie. They really liked it. So did the other 700 people who've read it online on my website or when I read it or showed it to them. It's 118 lines and too long to submit to poetry.com like I've done with my other poems. And this was my first real attempt at poetry after hating to read poems, sonnets, and such for so long.

July 14th-August 4th, CTY Camp (same place) Session 2: This time I was allowed to take my desired course: Crafting the Essay! At this point in time, I officially loved writing and wanted to develop my techniques at this intensive introductory course. My instructor, Ms. Jeanne Etkins was my favorite English teacher. The course wasn't just about writing- we somehow weaved philosophy, the way of life, and thinking out of the box into this class. She taught us so many things, and I remember three or four distinctively: 1st- What's your purpose? 2nd- A writer has to be always honest with his words. 3rd- An accomplished writer expresses his idea with the fewest amount of words. 4th- Ethos, pathos, and logos. I almost forgot the last one: "Being funny is very hard; don't even try it if you're not funny." My favorite piece we read had been chapter one out of Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird titled (and we used this name often with full use of the expletive) "Sh*tty first drafts." We went through Seltzer, Goodman, Lamott, Lopez, Kingston and had many fun activities. This course fueled my hunger for literature.

After August 18th 2002: I wrote my latest personal narrative of the August Moon festival for May in BLS ASIA. I cut it down from 4,500 words to around 1,200 and was quite satisfied with the abridged version. Regretfully, May and I had a little misunderstanding: It was supposed to be writing about the event. Id est, in her own words, "we did this, and after that, this happened." I thought my anecdotes were fine but yeah it was writing about places. No problem- I have another addition to my writing section on my website.

August 24th 2002: Miraculously, I received my second nomination into the poetry.com (international poet's society) for "Colour 253." I was actually disappointed and shocked that my worst poem will be put into their text compilation. I spent about 4 minutes on that (I refer to this as "five minute poetry"). The one that made it into semifinalists before was written in 8th grade on a paper napkin in gym class ("The Landing" search for Zhang, James on poetry.com). Maybe they just want me to buy the book?

August-September: So far, I've received around 200 emails from my website visitors (www.wolfyserver.org) saying how they enjoyed reading my news and writing section even though that wasn't the focus of the site. Hacking, software exploitation, and infringing copyrights were. I counted the words in my web pages and they amounted to around 41,000. The news section is a great place to practice my writing and to collect my thoughts. Being heard and the acclaim is some sort of narcotic and a couple of reasons why I enjoy writing.

September 4th, 2002: First day of AP Composition. It appears to be a friendly and open class for doing the thing I love. The only reason I'm here is because I enjoy writing and that Mr. Sanford allowed me to make up the entrance test. My essay was about AOL Instant Messenger and idiolects.

... continuing with today's news: The day started at 2a.m. for me- I was busy finishing my summer reading notes which, on account of Mr. Sanford's lenient persona, are actually due Monday. Shall I take time to demonstrate me smacking my head? I dragged myself out of bed and made my way to the mirror. I shifted my face to see my tired eyes. I said: "James, you mofo, this is the first day of your Junior year. You better not fuck up. Also, don't forget to be a mackin." Outside was pouring rain and those days are when I like to sleep in the most. Took me around thirty minutes in the bathroom to get ready. Yes, the signature Acqua Di Gio, the gel for sharp deadly hair, and lots of other things- My toiletries per say. Indeed it was raining heavily- When I made my way towards Longwood Medical Area to Boston Latin, my Claiborne pants were half soaked. I kicked the water out of my dress shoes and made my way into the familiar school scene. Headmaster Ms. Kelly was waiting for everybody with an umbrella in hand. The procedure is if you arrive before 7:25 you wait in the cafeteria along with the other thousand or so students. (I forgot the actual head count at BLS) I merely sat down at the nearest table to the door. Too many familiar faces and quite a few new ones. Philson passed by, Sam was waiting in line, Mikhail said Hi, and hundreds of people I knew were eagerly awaiting their ascension or destruction of their academic year. Needless to say, Junior year is extremely important- the most. This is when you build your portfolio for all those artificial schools and colleges. You can be an asshole- but with a 5.0 GPA, an asshole who gets the better school. Today was all about first impressions. It was the first day I've seen Leon wear jeans in school! Today you meet your teachers and peers for the first time, and you will learn to live with them for 180 days. If you read my previous entries, you'd know I was actually excited to go back to school. True, this is the period of time where you are hyper-active and want to do your best with your work. Obviously, you'll never be like this for the entire year unless you have the orthodox Asian (not AZN in this case.) parents. Exampli Gratia: Derek and Xuan. I got assigned to homeroom 125- found out asking the teacher since I threw the envelope with the number out. Yes, it's the W,X,Y,Zs- 90% Asian in all respect. I recognized nearly everyone there. It was the second year I had Ke in my homeroom. Before being assigned seats- I sat next to Qi-Wei, Gordon, Jeff, Bo, and Wayne. There were also Fang, Henry, Kenny, Garfy, Nancy, Anne, Adrianna, Yuan, Wu-Ching (correction, Mu Ching: she told me this after reading the news.), and other names I can't seem to bring up at the moment. Around over two hours of homeroom to do paperwork and go on AIM on my Nokia. I have to say, after being screwed by the school system for two straight years- getting hardest (not meanest) teachers: Ms. Shea and Ms. Insanally, I have finally been blessed with what I presume to be the perfect schedule. Day one follows like so: 1st Period: English AP Composition (Master: Ms. Shevlin ^-^), 2nd Period: Precalculus (not a sad face but maybe (';') for neutral. I don't like his strict demeanor, but he's a good teacher), 3rd Period: Français Quatrieme Année Honours w/ Ms. Valentin (we had to speak French the first day! Whew, at least I passed. Je suis né le vingt-huit mars. J'aime les ordinateurs et je joue au volleyball.) The schedule is screwed up for the first two days so I had 1st lunch now. I won't bother saying who was in my French class since they're are too many I know. First lunch is great with Qi-wei, Leon, Vinoo, and the rest being there. We still need to establish our Asian table. Xuan's in it also- so yeah, pretty interesting ... Fifth period was Latin III with Dr. Carroll: The young one, thank god! He's such an enthusiastic teacher! And it will be much easier than Ms. Shea. Ms. Shea, isn't a bad teacher- she is merely traditional and kind of strict- but I kind of know how she feels. Well, most people just get straight Cs in her class. The funniest thing happened in that class. As you may (or may not know) Leon (along with everyone in Class B) is in the class. Like how he was two years straight, Leon fell asleep during the introduction, on the first day of school. So he had his head in the book, and Dr. Carroll just stopped talking and looked at him. Obviously the class erupted in guffaw! And Leon was still sleeping! That wasn't the funny part even! We were practicing reciting Latin after being dormant for three months- and getting to know everyone's names. The teacher asked "Quid est nomen tibi?" - which means "What is your name?" And we had to respond in a full sentence with "Nomen mihi est ..." This is from the updated quotes section:

Dr. Carroll: Quid est nomen tibi?
Leon: (after recovering from sleeping in Latin class) Oh, Leon.
::pause for guffaw and laughter effect from class::
James: No, look at the board. Mihi..
Leon: Oh, um, no.. hmm- Needo Specto Glasso. ::falls back asleep::

LOL, ROFL- just hilarious. Dr. Carroll is a wiz with words and languages as well. He let on his understanding of Russian, Deutsche, Français, and espanol. (After all, we hear him talk to Ms. Shea and Mme. Brun in French all the time.) I learned that an "ort" in the English language means residue on a plate. I.E., left-overs. "Mother, excuse my ort- I need to finish my homework now." And even though sic in Latin means "yes"- he reminded us that "Ita" would also do- it means indeed. After Latin II, was my study class- where I just dozed off and the teacher came in 5 minutes before the end to take attendance. Usually, I sign a pass to go to the library to chat on AIM or to upload wolfyserver files. (It's not really allowed but with such an ignorant I.T. guy who checks Internet Explorer history and not Netscape...) Last two periods were ELA Honours and U.S. History A.P. with Ms. Kirkpatrick, whom I was informed will screw me over because of her hard classes. I'm ready for anything! Mr. Sanford was the guy proctoring my A.P. entrance examination for English Composition. He's a cool guy (it's been forever since I've used "cool") who'll let us watch movies of plays (Macbeth and others), eat in class (not sandwiches), and use a panda bear as a bathroom pass. He teaches college students after school so he's pretty in touch with adolescents and adults. Immediately, I knew this was going to be a great class. We're going to do poetry too! I sit next to Pei and Bo at the moment. Last class of the day (in all 20 minutes' brevity) was U.S. History A.P. - From the course overview it seems we will be doing a lot of reading, not writing. Suits me just fine! Since I'll need to read more than write to become a better author. Plus this balances out two writing classes! I like the teacher even though people say she's very hard. Well, we do have pop-quizzes almost everyday. That reminds me, I need to sign 2 agreements for school tomorrow. Leon was making monkey faces at me and obviously wasn't paying attention. The day ended- I walked around and spoke with friends. Then I decided to head home to get some rest. I watched the first 40 minutes of the 2-hour American Idle Finale. Then I just went to my computer and typed up my English homework. Oh damn! How stupid of me! Rolling on Floor Laughing: I have TV tuner on my computer with my All in Wonder Radeon 7500 64mb DDR. Ack! And so ends my day. It's 11:30 now, and I still haven't read my History homework. Only nine pages though. I have to wash my laundry! Current song: S.E.S. - "Show Me Your Love" Till later- whenever, you know the drill. - James, webmaster of wolfyserver.org

9.02.02- A lazy summer's day yesterday. I can't display any constructive results except finishing the 8.31.02 upload of wolfyserver. Visitors around the 100 range- mediocre, but there are no files and the site is technically not open to anyone yet. The official launch is 2003. Justin was away so I couldn't talk to him about the forums, guestbook, tagboard. The tagboard can be done with tagboard.com quite easily but I want my site to host it with all the trimmings. The problem about blending my layout with their code is that I don't think a picture could be able to use the form submit. Maybe, but I'm not sure yet. And my OCD compels me to keep my nifty "tag" picture instead of a grotesque button. The SMTP emails at wolfyserver.org are working great. I just gave Dan his own dan@wolfyserver.org email. Sorry If I'm not on AIM often; you can still contact me with a cell-phone email (6173063533@mobile.att.net). And finally, I have gotten real people emails about wolfyserver. That reminds me- I need to upload spam filters for my mail server. As you can see, the frontpage has yet again taken on a new graphic design. It's a metallic text banner. I could have put metal wires, plastic effects, or other things I'm learning to do right now. Nonetheless, I want this site simple with a straightforward design. That is why our left bar still has text links. I haven't found an idea for mouse over buttons or flash buttons that looks good with the rest of the layout. In addition, I'm glad you people enjoy the quotes section. I've received several emails about the qarchive. Even if I'm reading it for the 30th time, it still cracks me up. Check once in a while for new updates! The new quotes are placed at the top most of the time. For the CTY Section, I need to delay my narration since school is coming up and my summer reading notes are due. So unfair! Twelve books to read and write about! Thank god I double checked with the library reading list since my friends told me I only had to read five. AP Composition requires another seven! I should really read more than I write. At the moment, I'm reading Tom Clancy's Executive Orders for the second time. The detail in the prologue and setting description is definitely something to be commended upon. I read it over and over again to improve my own writing about places skills. If anyone doesn't know: EO started the dramatic conclusion of Patriot Games. The Japanese pilot Sato, who lost a son and a brother in the recent war, crashed his 747 into the Capital during the swearing in of VP Jack Ryan. So that killed POTUS, FLOTUS, all nine justices, and nearly all of congress. Very dramatic book- and this one has everything in it. Anyways, just to let you know- I've picked up a book during the last year. What else... School, hmm- it's coming up. I'm not nervous at all. Quite excited actually! Nah, I don't want to ramble about the importance of junior year. It's already been said. Hmm, yes- my cell-phone finally has a custom ring tone I got from the laptop. It's the FFVI victory fanfare which suits me quite well being a Final Fantasy fan. Yet, it always makes me jump when I'm taking a nap and my phone rings. When I get back to school- I will be able to upload all my warez, cracks, keygens, serials, and mp3s using their T1 connection. So expect frequent updates. I really love my site! Ah! Man, wolfyserver has given so much to me! Inspiration, an artistic sense, power, authority, acclaim, fans, my very own cult, all these things including kudos and props. I can't believe I've actually thought of shutting this site down. True, and my friends back this up- this site sometimes is more trouble than it's worth. But that's only when I got to deal with the FBI. Love this site, hah! Oh yeah, I just remembered: need to talk to you about my lazy Sunday afternoon. I got up around 11a.m. when Andrew called and said I had 20 minutes to get ready. As if there was enough time to shower, use facial cleaner, lever 2000 my body, brush my teeth, use mouthwash, put moisturizer on my arms, use deodorant, put my contacts in, use my hair lightener/conditioner, comb down my hair, and then gelling the spikes! Not to mention dressing up and spraying some Acqua Di Gio on... Yeah, I'm not a girl- don't worry. I just like performing my morning toiletries. My sunglasses got broken by Derek so I took my visor, Andrew's Card College books Leon left here eight months ago, my prose book, and around 20 cds in an envelope- nine of which were wolfyserver file discs. About Derek breaking my visor: (oh no, this is going to be another life in the day of James!) We were outside 333 Tremont at the Church of something doing community service. (every Saturday, 10a.m. to like 2p.m. - I always get there at 11a.m. and we jettison out at 1 to avoid cleaning.) We had to greet our visitors and Derek and I got a little rough. I wasn't actually sparring him or trying to kick him. He got my pants dirty and when I walked up to Andrew- funniest thing ... This was like slow motion for me. I was in close proximity of Derek who thought I was trying to kick him, so he brought his foot up behind him in a snapping position. What also snapped were my favorite pair of shades. I was like: "Noooooo...... MuuII Shhhaaaadddeeesss..!" No matter what Andrew says, that snapping sound was not the funniest sound in the world. So then I started yelling and all sorts and that continued on the T ride home with Derek. There's a funny quote from this incident in the quotes section. I'm not telling you so you will have to click there! Anyways, now back to the lazy day. We stopped by Star Market to get Andrew's daily dose of Trix, Kix, and something else. He was eying the cookie crisps and I was like: You want to die? At any rate, I waited for Andrew at his kitchen while he downed two bowls of cereal and read comics. It was a very invigorating day to be exact. He showed me his string raving with socks. He tied these socks to lanyards instead of glo-sticks for the purpose of not getting hit in the crotch. We were doing something when Uri arrived with his bike after a race. Ah, this is getting to be too long. Basically, we didn't do anything at all except play badminton in the yard, ride bikes, and get ring tones. Some other funny things- sorry to disappoint you but I'm really tired now and am going to make some new art. Stay real and keep reading my stuff. -James

8.30.02- I apologize for yesterday's news bulletin. I suppose there was too much time on my hands. I didn't really mean what I said- excuse my critical stupor. The site: Well, it's going along nicely. Art seems to be at a stalemate. I spent over six hours designing new graphics- and then trashing them. They looked good the first ten minutes though many didn't fit with the layout. The tagboard beta preview is complete. After PHP coding, the board will be fully functional. The guestbook still needs to be done; same goes for the forums. The frontpage graphic- after 4 hours of designing, redesigning and choosing from nine different possibilities, has been left without the left hand graphic. This solves the issue of simplicity and needless complication. I must admit, obsessive attention has been focused on every aspect of the layout. Title bar backgrounds, colour of line breaks, text placement, and many other things. The final layout will be awe inspiring yet relaxing to the eyes. As for content- two sections in the restricted access section have been unlocked: the aim logs and the colour poems. CTY narration is still in the works: check it out to view some random memories. The frontpage graphic will, obviously, be changed dramatically after I get some stock photos. I've been creating all my art from scratch. I'm thinking of a picture of a girl with monarch butterflies on her nose. It'll be much airbrushing; though, I think I can do it. Now then- I'm exhausted and will continue my work at a later date. School starts Thursday. Can't wait. *by the way as an addition- (this should be tomorrow's news since it's 3am): I beefed up the security for the restricted access. Now there are over 19,000 clickable inputs. In the restricted section, everything is unlocked including the coveted conversations page which takes around five minutes to load since it's very in depth. In addition, a new poem I wrote just now named "The Simple, Half-Truth" has been posted. - webmaster james

8.29.02- Rain, rain, rain. I can't help but sigh! My days are quite dull and mind-numbing. Everyone else is doing their own thing- staying home or at friends' houses playing video games. Me? Apart from experimenting with some art and wolfyserver, there's rather not much to say. Of course I continue reading my American Prose book, listening to music and looking up words in the dictionary. Id est, I can't wait for school to start. No one is calling me! Ah... friends! Hate them all. Blah, I can't even go out because of the rain- can't find that umbrella. Thus, today is as flat as to my groans of misery, boredom, and sorrow ... in fact, hmm- time to get angry.. ah, never mind- I won't say it ... arg- fine, here it is. My friends can be real assholes not some of the time, but most of the time. When you're acquainted with such people for an extended period of time- whether they be called multi-serving friends or 'true friends'- you find out - scratch that. Asshole friend number one is Leon. To tell you the truth, I'm on friendly terms with everyone except him. With Leon, friendship is usury, blackmail, and disgust. Sometimes, I just want to hit him in his smug face with a 2x4. Yet, I have so many accounts of him being good and decent in the past. But this is right now, and right now- that monkey would best be perforated with 7.62mm rounds. Two things pissed me off, like way off. First, we all were shopping at Copley and I had to buy a visor. So I bought a Nike visor that I've wanted for the last two years. So the moment I utter the words "that one"- Leon smacks me on the head. He told me earlier to get the ugly adidas one. Now, I think Nike corporation made these visors so they can sell them to millions of people to make a profit. Also, it is come to mind that I wasn't cramping his style- his visor and my visor were completely different. But Leon, who thinks he's the most original asshole out there, somehow was a bit dense- and decided to get revenge by blackmailing me after I bought the visor. Earlier, I mentioned shopping- and we were shopping for a gift for this girl. And we were all debating what- book, jewelry, keychain, and whatnot. And Leon proudly states he's going to blab his ass off. That point in time, I was so infuriated that I couldn't even talk. And I talk quite a bit. Luckily, he didn't do it. So these borderline incidences always piss me off. And for god sake's why can't I  borrow small thing such as dvds from him? I let him borrow everything! And he still has my belongings. The imbecile wants my seventeen inch Trinitron monitor because the one I traded him for his 14inch, after six months, started to act strangely. Well, it looked pretty fine when I went over. Does he think I offer a warranty for that long? Me? I played fair and said you can have your 14inch back, and keep the seventeen inch I traded you. Not good enough, he wants my Trinitron. Where's the logic behind this? And today, when I called him on my cell phone- he just picked up and hung up. No doubt too busy playing his video games at his gay lover's house. I know he hung up because my Nokia said call ended. Arg, this makes my blood boil, Everyone takes advantage of James- e.g., me paying for lunch, snacks, whatever- and I get jack shit in return. Well not everyone- at least Andrew realizes these things. I may sound a bit harsh right now- pardon my state of mind. Nonetheless, some people are just dumb asses- they get away with being the plague of society and usually the hardworking guy gets screwed. Aren't there any nice people out there who go out of their way to help and lend a hand without being called 'someone's bitch?' Well I get called that sometimes since, I, I don't know what was wrong with me, was kind so to speak, to people. I don't know why Leon, Wein, Yao, Andrew, and others talk behind my back though. I guess we're just friends for too long. They think rumors, et cetera wouldn't offend me. They really don't, actually. Just pisses me off. I tend to let them have their fun. It seems that everyone is unfair to me, and only me. It's not selfish if you consider the facts: I'm not weak- and they say I'm weak. All the while, I know so many others who are more venerable. In addition, why does Andrew always correct my grammar or spelling when I rarely got it wrong? For god's sake, I'm trying my best to brush up on my vocabulary for AP Composition. He does this when Leon can't speak correct English and he can't even spell elephant! They don't consider any one else. So close minded! I never target people like them. And might it come up, I'll just keep my mouth closed. And I'm getting sick of this thing with the girl. Everyone is bothering me about it. The stress is too much. I am so goddamn passive. I keep, all my feelings and thoughts in my head. Why does the world mock me for being different? I mean, I'm not Machiavellian, I'm not greedy, and I'm not fucking conceited. I'm quiet, cordial, warm, friendly, and everything I thought was a good thing. These individuals just take advantage of it. Am I to become the same? This never happens to anyone else I know or my friends know: all the ridicule, disrespect, and gossip. Leon says 'we're your only friends'- bullshit. I have hundreds of friends whom I know personally and many more on AIM and online. Even when I have autographs and confirmed anecdotes from camp or wherever, he still doesn't believe me. Not when Derek is making all this shit up to make me look bad. For ever and a day have I harbored these feelings- that phone incident was the last straw. You've probably heard me mention that piece I wrote about friendship. Four pages- all pleasant and inspiring writing. Well, I am glad- so glad that I lost it. They don't deserve it. I hate, truly detest, these abominable "friends." And don't fucking call me a hypocrite. Too many people don't even use the word correctly. How are you supposed to know how I'm a hypocrite? If it isn't for a small handful of people I know who aren't like this- I would tell the whole world to fuck itself. This brings me back to the idiot who erased my guestbook for no goddamn reason. Thanks! You'd think sixteen year olds, by now, would have some common sense. But no, those potheads don't know beans, only kava kava beans. I say, sell drugs to them, let them all overdose and we'd have less of a problem. Drug dealers, it seems, are excellent businessmen and would do well on Wall Street. The problem is, people are given too many rights. Not to support An-archy here; though, that's the reason progress is trailing behind. That and religion- always keeping science and technology behind. Hello! That's just the pope's way of getting indulgences and bishops getting little boys. It's all a sham. Take it this way. So, I don't know if God exists, but what I do know is that I exist. I'm living, breathing, and writing now right? Therefore, god doesn't exist. If you say he exists, then you are inferring this from who knows what. This is not a fallacy. I'd be well laughing when you die, and discover there is not gate. You lived a sham and got screwed over. Think about it long and hard. Maybe that light people claim to see when they are near death- that's just their eyes fucking up huh? If God exists, then aliens exist too. Why can't he shed his teaching over those little critters? Well I won't be debating this any further. We'll see in the end. And how the Siddhartha have this vision? And that guy who founded Mormon religion? Perhaps they were both schizos- one rich ass schizo and one nutcase. Well, that's it. Sorry if I ruined your life with these answers and resolutions. Veritas. -James, webmaster

8.28.02- From this day forth I am never drinking soda or eating spicy foods ever! Arg! Goddamn pimples- hate them like smelling bad and scratched cds. So I'm going to drink this pristine discovery called water. Anyways, jus thought I'd declare that. I went to taekwondo today and I have much to work on. Good friend Yao helped me review my forms and even missed his class in doing so! Well, I can't upload my files yet, so it's quite bothersome. Also, I think I'm experiencing wolfyserver remission: my efforts and spirit have run out! I'll be taking a vacation after the forums, guestbook, tagboard, tutorials, and files are done -James

8.27.02- My next written piece will be 'Origin of the Kissing'- and is just what the title suggests. It's always perplexed me! Seriously, where did mouth to mouth come from? And how did it come to have meaning? At any rate, back to the site. As you have noticed: we have layout 8.1 partly finished. The left bar is temporary until layout nine. Then, we will have a streamlined interface relying on image maps and the like, instead of text links and boxes. On the right bar is a preview of the tagboard, which Justin still has yet to finish (including guestbook & forums). There are many other subtle changes and we still have much time till the launch of wolfyserver.org 2k3 in the year 2003. Files, obviously not working since I never got to the uploading. Right now I guess I'm relying on my art, layout, and writings to keep visitors in. We still have a steady flow though! On a personal note: nothing really happening. School in a week and a half. Can't wait! I'm so bored. Wish more people would call me! And also! Hah, I can't read long emails on my cell phone- so keep it under 110 characters! Try to squeeze some in the subject box, heh. Not to mention, I can't read hotmail or other http emails: including epatra, eurosport, and yahoo. I can read my own mailbox well (e.g., jax@wolfyserver.org <- jackie's email) and justin's (titrationx@evilattitude.com). Anyways, I guess I'll ramble some tomorrow. Current Song: Eagle Eye Cherry, Save Tonight.

8.26.02- As for the transition into wolfyserver.org 2k3, I am focusing on art & layout first of all, then forums; afterwards- file downloads, emu & rom, reminisce, tutorials, php guestbook, tagboard, cty section, restricted access, and so on so forth. Today I finished our last and final frontpage graphic (for the 2k3 project that is). As you can see, I'll be moving on to the navigation bar, and trailing to the body section of wolfyserver. Then all the other pages will follow the novel layout. Personal commentaries? Well, yesterday I went deep sea fishing with my dad and the day before- went to Leon's house. I got seasick after an hour; though beforehand, I was the first and quickest to catch any fish on our boat. Four bluefish in under twenty minutes. They were ten to fifteen pounds. The trick was to just let the line go all the way to the bottom, rather than the captain's suggested 25 feet. So it was a bitch to reel in because of all that line and plus the fish was fighting. In the end, wolfy succeeded at endangering the bluefish species; and then he got seasick. Yes, I had to call Andrew for an hour to get fish, the smell, and throwing up off my mind. Now, I'll never be able to eat fish again! Well the day at Leon's house was quite interesting. I came there to upload my wolfyserver files; however, a normal day turned out to be anything but. I had to play Dynasty Warriors 3 with him on the PS2, then capcom vs. snk2. Of course he kicked my ass in Dynasty warriors (it was my first time playing! "e-l-e-f...you know the rest"). In SNK2, I kicked his ass but it was sort of a tie. Well, he owned all those games and I didn't have a PS2! While I was using wsftp and talking on AIM, I let Leon borrow my cell-phone- without discretion, and with all my numbers in there. He called Athena's mom and told her he loved her. No doubt I had to apologize profusely; her mom was nice and understanding though. "It's ok, and Athena will be back at 6:00p.m." Then he just randomly started calling people (I regret having unlimited weekends & nights...) and leaving obscene voicemails. I had to repair the damage and tell girls that I, in fact, wasn't madly in love with them. Yet, his boredom sprouted into harassing of my AIM buddies. I'm sorry Jackie and Amanda! "Leon: Sup. James thinks you're fione." "Jackie: I think he's fione too." "He really likes you. He just hides it. Do you like him?" And: "You know James really likes you." Apart from causing irreparable damage to friendships, it was all right. Leon, it seems, has all sorts of wacky ideas in his head. When I asked him to help me find my sunglasses, he said I'll help you if you let me take a picture of you holding a sign that says I Heart whomever. "I'm a really good finder." Luckily, my bickering got him to agree to use another name than the first one chosen. Thus, I had to write: "I <3 Jackie -DJ James" on paper and smile genuinely. There were other things, though I won't bore you to death with the details. I finished the August Moon shortened narration. I hope May got it and didn't forget the restricted access password. And my bejeweled score is a record 27,600! Yep... -James

8.23.02- Well I got my cell phone. Still need to get the Final Fantasy ring tone from Andrew. It's a Nokia 3360- an average phone, so not a problem if lost or otherwise. Good thing is I can send and receive emails. I posted the addy on my frontpage. Unlimited emails, but only ten cents for sending. Now I have unlimited nights and weekends- meaning anyone can call me then and we'll have an interesting chat 3am in the morning. So besides that, busy schedule this week. Not only do I have to finish summer reading- have a lot of writing to do. May said the August Moon (unabridged) was very good- just need to talk about the event more, than the person. I am currently undergoing revision 2. Actually, I lied- I didn't start it yet, heh. Instead, I've been working on the CTY section. Since Amanda asked I finish the "hotlist"- I did and then got so caught up in the memories, I put yearbook autographs on, finished the extremely long contact list, and typed up the whole writing anthologies to display online. I am 50% finished with the CTY section.
