Boston Latin School Extracurricular Fair: September 24, 2003 2:15p.m.

BLS students brimmed over the cafeteria's many entrances in a frenzy
to sign up for participating clubs at this year's extracurricular
fair. 2003 had 88+ clubs with full map and club list for the wary
seventh grader and seasoned upperclassmen. Among gimmicks offered,
officers of popular clubs held out signs, threw balloons into the air,
offered after-school snacks, poster boards, and loud music. Among the
long-time partakers, ASIA (Asian Students in Action) had 298 members
sign up--newcomers like Photoshop Art & Design took in an enormous
amount of interest with 148 members and the Otaku club had well over
seventy members. Starting 2:15, the club fair ran till four with Argo
staff volunteering to clear up and clean out the emptied cafeteria. We
hope you have chosen great clubs to participate in this year, and
remember to have fun once in a while in school!
